Announcing Professional Cosplayer Fudgie as a Guest for SwampCon: Total Annihilation!

pizap.com14144298544631To show her love for anime, comic books, and video games, Fudgie combines her increasing knowledge of sewing and crafting skills to bring the characters she loves into reality. Being a huge supporter of “Everyone can Cosplay”, she encourages others to cosplay whoever they want to, no matter race, gender, or size. Her ability to share her love for cosplay makes her never want to stop making and improving her own costumes. Fudgie believes that cosplay brings like-minded individuals together that puts smiles on their faces, and that is what she loves the most.

New IndieGoGo Campaign for SwampCon: Total Annihilation!

We are officially announcing the launch of our Indiegogo campaign to raise money to help improve the programming of SwampCon Total Annihilation!

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/swampcon-total-annihilation/x/5638895

Between venue fees, licensing fees, programming fees, security fees, marketing fees, reconstruction fees and giant robot design fees, SwampCon has exhausted almost the entirety of its available budget year after year to make this event happen, and this year is no different. We’ve used almost everything to make sure we can maintain a two-day convention and give everyone who attends an opportunity to make memories.

Our event is and always has been a FREE multi-genre convention, but our costs and limited budget prevent us from providing all the features that we believe a quality convention needs.

Thus, we are launching this campaign and asking everyone everyone who wants to make SwampCon better to offer their help. Your support will go toward bringing more(and bigger) guests, bringing more main events, printing more con guides, and including more features to SwampCon Total Annihilation.

SwampCon is in no danger of ending or not happening. All we want is to make SwampCon as big and great you want it to be!

Remember that every donation counts and with every donation comes a cool perk! Check it out!

From her first appearance on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior three years ago, Joyce Shahboz has been one of the strongest and most consistent female competitors featured on the show.  ANW pits competitors against a series of brutal obstacles and is based on the long-running Japanese show “Sasuke” which is currently in its 30th season.  At 43 she is one of the more senior competitors but manages to match or best both male and female competitors that are almost half her age.

Joyce has the distinction of being the top female competitor on the Miami qualifier course two years in a row and the top female competitor on the Vegas final course during the 5th season of ANW.

Joyce is a graduate of the University of Florida in Physical Therapy.

Marc is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds an MFA in electronic media.

Professional Cosplayer JezzabellGem will be attending SwampCon: Total Annihilation!

JezzabellGem Promo Image

I’m JezzabellGem! I am honored and EXCITED to be a part of SwampCon 2015, right here in my home town!

I’m a Florida based cosplayer, costumer and prop maker. I am also a ‘positive cosplay’ and ‘anti-bullying’ advocate, and I founded Heroes United Against Cosplay Bullying.

I’ve been attending conventions for nearly six years, and I’ve been cosplaying on a more serious level for the last 2.5 years.

I’m a comic book, graphic novel, movie, art and video game fan for life. I make my own props and costumes whenever my growing skillset allows me to, which is most of (but not all of) the time. If I don’t make it then I commission it in order to learn from what others can do. I believe in knowledge sharing. I’m not afraid to ask for help, because for any dedicated artist, there’s always more to learn.

To know the character is to love the character. To love the character is to become the character. To become the character is to bring that character to life through your eyes for the rest of the world to see. I know I’ve accomplished something when a fan spontaneously hugs me out of appreciation for what I’ve done, or when I make a child happy. THAT is what it’s ALL about.
